EET is operating and managing three facilities in Al Ain: Material Recovery Facility (Sorting Station) & Compost Plant Operation, Maintenance, Monitoring and Control; Build, Operate & Transfer (BOT) of Plastic Recycling Plant (PRP) in coordination with “The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi” (TADWEER). Tadweer is the leading agency responsible for monitoring and coordinating the Emirate ’s waste management activities. The Center implements the overall strategy for waste management in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to cover all the operations and services.

EET in collaboration with “Enrich”, an Irish based award winning compost production company operate the Compost Plant facility, CP, in Al Ain city. Organic fractions from various waste streams are processed and transformed into high-quality organic fertilizers and soil conditioners for different end usages and applications. Being established leaders in environmental resource recovery, EET and Enrich have shared vision of a sustainable future which emphasizes recovering resources from solid waste in a manner which creates value while protecting and improving the environment.

The Enrich approach to developing Cultiva horticultural products began by evaluating all aspects involved in its production. Emirates Environmental Technology and Enrich redeveloped the Al Ain facility to ensure it meets current International standards. The completed redevelopment of the Al Ain composting plant means that all aspects of the operations are controlled by audited Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and a Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan.

In February 2015, Emirates Environmental Technology was awarded three Certificates for all its operations from LIoyd’s Register Quality Assurance, which illustrates ongoing commitment to the highest possible standards in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSAS 18001).

The materials sourced as feedstock are carefully selected to produce a range of premium grade organic fertilizers.Composting is a biological process, and the nature of the inputs will determine the rate of degradation and the quality of the finished product.

Choosing feedstocks with suitable target levels in nutrient content, Carbon/Nitrogen ratio (C/N), moisture, porosity and texture optimises the composting process.

Our experienced team is trained to monitor and measure the principal factors which aect the process, for example moisture, temperature, pH level, and oxygen concentration.

The maturity and stability of any compost is important to ensure the benefits can be utilized by both soil and plant. If compost is not matured it will deplete nutrients and air from the soil, resulting in plant starvation.

Cultiva horticultural products are subject to rigorous quality controls to ensure they have the correct nutrient balance.

The Al Ain facility has a new advanced screening plant which delivers a uniform product. This investment guarantees product consistency, which is a key consideration in product selection by specifiers, landscape gardeners and sports turf managers.
